  13. Task 1 Why do we take photos? Because we want to preserve memories. We want to remember the happy times. What better way to remember when the kids were small, or little Janie’s first dance recital, graduation, family vacations, weddings and much more? I can’t think of a better way to preserve it than with a photo. When scrapbooking became so popular it encouraged people to dig out all those old photos they had stored away in boxes and put them in a memory book. Not only did they put the photos in a photo album but scrapbooking encouraged people to write about the photo creating a written and photographic history that could be enjoyed for years.
  14. Task 2 Now that the digital age is here we are finding new ways to preserve our memories. We take them from a memory card and store them on our computer. We are back to no one seeing our photos. Instead of being in boxes they are on our computer hard drive. Most of us don’t even get them on the walls anymore. Researchers tell us that only 35 percent of the digital photos taken are ever printed.
  15. Task 3 Something new was needed to get those photos off our computers and out in the open. Not to worry, we now have Digital Picture Frames. What is wonderful about a Digital Photo Viewer is you can place hundreds of digital pictures in one digital frame in a continuous slide show. If you don’t currently own a Digital Photo Frame you owe it to yourself to get one and see what you have been missing!
