Coach Information
Do you want to make friends around the world and create a more exciting and stimulating life?
Do you need some extra cash and are you prepared to spend a few hours a day coaching people online to speak natural English? Is your first language English and are you 16 years of age or older?
Use SameSpeak to become a personal conversation coach and earn money online from the comfort of home and in your own time using Skype free computer to computer calling. We will connect you with students and provide everything you need to deliver effective conversational lessons. You just need to focus on coaching natural spoken English.
Coaching sessions last 30 minutes. You will earn US$10 for every half hour session that you complete.
Samespeak is designed to complement formal language learning in a school or educational setting by giving learners the opportunity to practise with real live native speakers like you. The more real life practice they have, the better they become at speaking and listening to native speakers.
Registration
You can register as a coach if your first language is English. You do not need to be an English Language teacher, but you must be at least 16 years of age.
Verification
We have live online training which is currently being offered at no cost to assist you with verification and to deliver
high quality lessons to our students. This is for a limited time while
we are developing our training module on this site. Watch our training videos
and read through the information contained on the Support page of your
Samespeak account.
When you are ready, make yourself available on your coach calendar as
if you were taking lessons during an entire week. This gives us options
about when to contact you and gives us an idea of your usual
availability. Please use the contact us link
and put "Verification" in the subject line. We will then book you for a
live lesson. Please check that your skype settings are accurate by calling skype call test service. Call the skype site, record a short message and wait for it to be played back to you. If there are problems with your sound, the skype service will let you know what the problem is and tell you how to rectify it.
You must be a first language speaker of English and 16 years of age or
over. You must complete the training before you are given verification.
Once you have met these requirements, a verification star will
show above your coaching name.
You can still use the system if you
are unverified but we do not recommend this as it could result in you
gaining negative feedback and low ratings from students resulting in you receiving no paid bookings. Our online
training is designed to help you effectively use the system and deliver
high quality lessons.
Coaching Material
All conversations and coaching materials are made available to you once you have registered:

Set Up
You will need a computer with high speed broadband access (dial up is too slow and cannot be used), headset with microphone and free registration with Skype free computer to computer calling. It is important that you use the free skype test call service on the skype site to ensure that your sound is audible before making yourself available.
Payment
You will also need to open an online Paypal account so that we can pay you. If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or guardian will need to open an account for you. You will receive a coaching fee of US$10 for every 30 minute session that you successfully complete. Your earnings will automatically show in your online account. Payments will be made every Friday provided you have at least $US100 in your online account. A special request to release payment under $US100 can be made by pressing the Request Payment button. Please allow 3 - 5 working days for payment to arrive in your Paypal account.
